It all started under fall leaves and twilight,
In a courtyard,
One October night,
Across the distance,
I saw a smiling face,
And my heart just stopped,
Before I felt it race,
And lying here now,
I hope you can see...

Though It seems sometimes we stumble on this road we're on,
My heart still beats just as strong
When I look and I see your smiling face,
I close my eyes and take the time to breathe you in,
I feel your touch upon my skin
And perfect doesn't seem so far away.

We've seen so much
And through the hardest times,
We've lost sight of the dreams we share
And the ties that bind (you and I)
And when the words get lost,
And nothing seems to go our way,
I close my eyes and hear the words
Your heart is trying to say.
And lying here now,
I hope you can see,

It seems sometimes we stumble on this road we're on,
My heart still beats just as strong
When I look and I see your smiling face,
I close my eyes and take the time to breathe you in,
I feel your touch upon my skin
And perfect doesn't seem so far away.

And every now and then it seems much harder than before,
But I promise you I will never give up,
Give up on you so don't stop.
Just remember you and I.
And how I found forever when I looked into your eyes
And I know why,
And I know why,
I promise you, I swear to you to never say goodbye.

It seems sometimes we stumble on this road we're on,
My heart still beats just as strong
When I look and I see your smiling face,
I close my eyes and take the time to breathe you in,
I feel your touch upon my skin
And perfect doesn't seem so far away.
